PURPOSE
Welcome new and returning committee members for the 2026-27 committee term. The case review process will be explained for new members. Returning members will have an opportunity to discuss questions/concerns with the case review process and ways to improve.
INTRODUCTION - CASE REVIEW PROCESS
- Case of the Week was started in April of 2021 and has continued to grow over the years
- View social media stats
- Maintain and oversee a format for collecting and posting interesting cases to social media platforms
- View case submission information here
- Review all case submissions and determine if acceptable for posting to social media
- Submissions received will be forwarded to committee members for review, based on their area of expertise
- Reviewers should respond within 14 days with feedback to be provided to case author or approval
- The Grading Sheet should be filled out with each case approval at the time of approval
INTRODUCTION - OTHER COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in promoting/sharing content posted to AOCR social media platforms; including, but not limited to, case of the week posts, advertising upcoming AOCR CME events, sharing highlights of lectures and slides during CME meetings
COMMITTEE DIRECTIVES
- Returning committee members feedback on review process.areas identified for improvement
- Review the submission criteria webpage to see if there is room for improvement
- Select top 3 cases from 2026 posted Cases of the Week
- We will utilize the scores collected through the grading sheet and then go from there to identify the winners
