An Agile Transformation is ultimately a huge organizational change. Hence, many of the insights from âtraditionalâ change management e.g. Kotterâs 8-Step Process for Leading Change are valid.
We do not have to reinvent the wheel on this one for an Agile Transformation. The 8 steps are:
- Create a Sense of Urgency
- Build a Guiding Coalition
- Form a Strategic Vision And Initiatives
- Enlist a Volunteer Army
- Enable Action by Removing Barriers
- Generate Short-Term Wins
- Sustain Acceleration
- Institute Change or Never Stop Changing
